Hi! I’m Varsha, a product designer who enjoys solving complex problems with data-driven insights.
Intro
The following case studies begin by questioning problems I encounter in daily life. Drawing from my experience as a barista, I use my sociability to connect and communicate with users on a personal level. As a collaborative and optimistic learner, I enjoy the challenge of finding creative, efficient, and user-centered digital solutions.
01
Recognizing the lack of course guidance at OCADU within the registration system. This leads to students feeling less confident and unable to adequately plan for their future career and interests.
Results: Quantifiable research that proves there is a problem to stakeholders, and a design proposal of a web portal to better serve students. Added working AI Chatbot model.
02
Improving the efficiency of a cafe by updating their current KDS (Kitchen Display System) to be compatible for a faster paced location.
Results: Examined design structure of an app and improved upon it to prove the core design itself isn’t at fault.
03
Examining the cost efficiency of the new parking meters installed in Toronto, Canada.
Results: Proposed a model with a button interface that is cheaper to maintain, durable, more accessible and rivals a touchscreen interface.
About
Currently in my 4th year of studying Industrial Design at OCADU (Ontario College of Art and Design University), minoring in Art History. If you don’t see me rock climbing, I am most likely playing board games or heavily debating others about the best romcom movie of all time.
